Peren, July 5 (MExN): The nomenclature of the United Zeliangrong Youth Federation (UZYF), the Apex Youth body of Peren District, has been changed to "Zeliangrong Youth Organization Nagaland (ZYON)."
According to a press release the organization, the change of name was affirmation of a resolution passed during a ZYON consultative meeting cum installation June 11, 2022.
The apex youth body is functioning under the guidance and wisdom of Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland (ZBN), Zeliangrong Mipui Organization(ZMO) Nagaland; Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organization (NZPO); Zeme Council (ZC); Liangmai Council Nagaland (LCN); and Rongmai Council Peren (RCP), the release said.
Meanwhile, honouring its motto "Unite to Excel,” the ZYON called upon its federating units and the youths of today to be more “positive and outworking for distinction of the community in building through unwavering unity.”
The release issued by ZYON President R John Zeliang and General Secretary, Keyi Sephe further gave the organization ‘s assurance to uphold its office with dignity and honor for the progression of the community.
