A five day long Vacation Bible School under the aegis of Children Ministry of Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK) got underway here today.
The highlight of the programme, being held under the theme ‘Jesus Rescues’, are Ship Rec games, craft & play, Bible adventure, discovery, kid-vid cinema, imagination and exploration.
The children are divided into 12 stations called Pugboat, Anchor, Starboard, Boom, Unsinkable, Rudder, Keel, Hull, Bulwarks, Bowsprit, Mast and Scuppers.
Altogether, 620 children registered on the first day.
There are 26 teachers, 38 officials and 60 crew leaders. Day of Greeting marked day one proceedings. The rest four days will be marked by Day of Cleanliness, Day of inspection, Day of Labour & Love Feast, and Day of Graduation.
The camp will conclude on July 1.
