‘Values learnt as scouts will be feathers in one's life’

Dimapur, March 4 (MExN): “The values learnt as a scout will be feathers in one's personal life,” Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol NCS today reminded a gathering of scouts and guides.
Kevin, who himself graduated as senior citizen NCC was inducted as President of Bharat Scout & Guides Association Dimapur at a programme held today in the conference Hall of DC Dimapur. He was inducted by District Organising Commissioner (Scouts) DM Agay Joseph, a DIPR release stated.
“Extra-curricular activities makes us a much more better person," he maintained. Narrating about his involvement as a scout during the Billy Graham's crusade way back in the 70s, Kevin expressed that he got the opportunity to see the famous Billy Graham in close proximity by being a scout.
Further, he reminded the scout and guides to work hard and to be honest with themselves. We are living in a competitive world, so always remember the maxim, survival of the fittest, he exhorted.
Other highlights of the programme included Flag ceremony, scout and guides items, Day's tap.
District Organising Commissioner ( Guides) Kevileno Haikam chaired the proceedings of the programme.
