Dimapur, January 13: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Wokha in collaboration with ICAR Nagaland centre, Jharnapani distributed 450 numbers of Vanaraja chicks under poultry seed project (TSP) to 15 numbers of selected farmers on January 10.
Dr. Moaakum, ICAR Nagaland centre, Jharnapani in a press release stated that the chicks were distributed with an objective to establish and encourage the farmers to take up Vanaraja farming at the village level to enhance meat and egg production as well as to multiply the breed.

The distribution programme was initiated by Dr. Moa KVK Wokha and highlighted the purpose of the seed project. The selected farmers of Humtso and Okotsu villages thanked Joint Director ICAR Nagaland centre and Dr. Patra, scientist and in-charge of the project for their assistance and requested to take up more such programme for the benefit of the farmers.
