Vanguard FC—Tseminyu holds membership engagement meet

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 30 (MExN): Vanguard FC – Tseminyu held its membership engagement event on September 28 at RSA Ground, Tseminyu Old Town. The event was attended by club officials, club partners, club members, players and well wishers.
The programme was chaired by VFC Media Managers, Emilo Cheng and Sophia Thong. Athonlo Khing (Pastor, TTBC) invoked God's blessing for the event while the Club's Vice Chairman, Er. Chengato Kath said the introduction and welcome address.
The event also featured the official launching of VFC Fans Jersey by the VFC Board and VFC Partners while the club's Partners also spoke during the event namely, Main Partner, K& S Packaging (Hyunilo Anilo Khing), Co-Partner, Environ Assemblers (Ar. LogusengSemp); Design Partner, ColourScan (Thomas Tep) and Fans Jersey Partner, MyStore (BenloThyug). The partners during the ‘Partners Talk’ conveyed their appreciation towards the club and congratulated the club on its achievements while at the same time encouraged the club to extend its handstowards bigger goals and wider scope.
A friendly football match was also played between the VFC Officials and VFC Club Members led by Er. Chengato Kath and Konyi Seb respectively and officiated by the club's players. After a 1-1 scoreline at half-time, the club members continued with their convincing performance to win the game 4-3 at the end of full-time. The goal scorers for the VFC Club members were ChentimoWoch (2), Akulo Kath and Benjamin Tsela while AthongTep, Dikhan Kath and Bensinlo Kent scored for the VFC officials team.
This was followed by a raffle draw, repair works at the RSA ground and dinner. 
The club who recently got crowned as champions of the Kohima Football League 2019 will be defending its title at the Lt. Capt. Kenguruse MVC Memorial Trophy 2019 this October as they attempt to lift the trophy 3 times in a row.
