MOKOKCHUNG, OCTOBER 15 (MExN): The Office of the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Mokokchung, has announced a schedule for vegetation clearance along the 132kV and 66kV transmission lines in the region. The clearance work is set to take place from October 21 to November 16, 2024.
To facilitate these operations, there will be a complete power shutdown each day from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This necessary measure aims to ensure a stable power supply and minimize the risk of disruptions, Executive Engineer, Er Hekaito Assumi, Transmission Division stated in a press release. The areas affected during this period include Changtongya Sub-Division, Tuli Sub-Division, Longleng, and Mon District for the 66kV Tuli, Naginimora, Tizit, and Mon transmission lines from October 21 to 26. The 66kV Zunheboto transmission line will affect Zunheboto District from October 28 to November 2.
From November 4 to 8, the 132kV Doyang transmission line will undergo maintenance, followed by the 132kV Longnak transmission line affecting Longnak and Mangkolemba Sub-Divisions from November 11 to 16. The department has urged residents in the affected areas to cooperate during this period of inconvenience and appreciates the public's understanding as the maintenance work is carried out.
