A pickup vehicle veered off the highway and fell down a slope approximately 500 metres from Chiephobozou town on June 25, resulting in injuries to the driver.
According to sources, the vehicle was returning from Merapani after unloading goods and was travelling alone at the time of the incident.
The pickup, reportedly from Senapati, sustained extensive damage in the accident.
The driver, who was the sole occupant, sustained injuries but is reported to be in stable condition.
Local residents and emergency responders reached the site promptly and administered first aid before further medical assistance was arranged.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
