The Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur has once again ordered total vehicular restriction on National Highway-29 from the Chathe River Bridge (Patkai Bridge) to the Kukidolong stretch from 7:00am of December 6 till 5:00am, December 7. A circular issued by the DC informed that the restriction will be enforced to facilitate speedy progress of the four-lane construction work and as a precautionary measure to prevent injury or loss of life and damage to property. “General public may take the alternative route from Dimapur-Kohima/Kohima-Dimapur for light vehicles only via 7th Mile-New DC office-Shokhuvi-Razaphe-Mhaikam-Pimla-Mhainaintsi-Jhornapani/Medziphema and vice versa. All concerned may take note of the same for necessary action,” it said.
