Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): Vehicle traffic along NH-29 near New Chümoukedima area has been fully restored, the Dimapur Police informed today.
Traffic along this sector has been blocked since the last week of October after a massive landslide on NH-29 near new Chümoukedima check gate.
Later, a partial one-way traffic on this route was implemented while full restoration work was on. ‘Vehicle traffic on NH 29 fully restored at New Chümoukedima area,’ the Dimapur Police updated on its official Facebook page on Monday morning.
Sources said that it was restored around 6-7am in the morning.
During the intervening period, LMVs had to take the alternate route via 7th mile new DC office – Shokhuvi – Razaphe – Mhaikam – Pimla – Mhainamtsai – Jhornapani/Medziphema while local trucks and buses bound for other districts of the state were informed to take the Patkai bridge – Seithekima – Niuland – Zhadima route.
