ZUNHEBOTO, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): A six day vermicomposting training programme, under the ‘Training of Rural Youth’ scheme was conducted under the supervision of the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Zunheboto with Tokato Zhimomi as the coordinator. 

The training was organized at Asukhomi Village, where all together eighteen active youth participated. Chubatsur Jamir, BTM, ATMA, Zunheboto and Kaholi K Achumi, AFA, DAO, Zunheboto were the resource persons. 

They equipped the participants with the knowledge on importance of vermicomposting in organic farming, sustainable agriculture and also its importance in income generation in today’s scenario of unemployment crises among rural youth. 

The participants were awarded with certificates under the Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) Scheme, under the Sub Mission on Agricultural Extension (SMAE) of the National Mission on Agriculture Extension & Technology (NMAET).
