Zunheboto, April 29 (MExN): Veterinary Health Centre (VHC) building at Aghunato was inaugurated on April 27 with Dr. Neikeyielie, CVO Zunheboto & Jt. Director, Veterinary & AH as the chief guest along with officers & staff of the department and public leaders of Aghunato.
A press note stated that Dr. Toshi Aier, CVO Zunheboto expressed happiness to all the who have taken keen interest, initiative and actively involved for the construction of the VHC building.
He summarized and outlined on the time line of the department's existence from inception to date and said that it was in almost defunct state due to deteriorated infrastructure for many years. Despite all the hardships faced by the officials and public, it is fortunate to have the new building for office functioning in delivering goods to the area people.
He made an earnest appeal to the public for rendering cooperation and support as and when government schemes and projects come for execution in days to come.
Vice Chairman, Adhoc Town committee, Aghunato Hoito on behalf of the people thanked all officials of the department for reviving the office and hope to provide better services and reaching out even to the remotest area of its sub division.
However, he said that the department has become so important for the people in the upliftment of their economic life condition through rearing of all types of livestock including great number of mithun (ongoing projects) and poultry farming where the department of Veterinary & A.H had to play a vital role for encouragement to the farmers.
Dr. Michael Imchen, VAS Veterinary Hospital, Zunheboto chaired the programme.
