Kiphire, September 17 (MExN): District Health Society Kiphire conducted Village Health Nutrition Day (VHND) at Yangzitong 'A', Kiphire on September 16. The medical team comprised of Dr. Tinurenla Anichari (Dy. CMO), Dr. Khelito Zhimomi (DTO), Jully Sumi, Adongla, Asung Pongen, Imnasenla Pongener and Rothrongkyu.
During the VHND, various health care services were provided not only for maternal, child health and immunization but also for various diseases. 49 OPD attendances were registered at the VHND who were treated and provided free medicines. ANC check-up was also done during the programme.
Highlighting the purpose of many integrated services and schemes provided by the medical department to garner maximum medical coverage at the doorsteps of the people at the grassroot level, Dr. Khelito requested the villagers to avail the various health services not just during VHNDs but at the health units.
