One man sustained gunshot wound resisting a robber, who tried to snatch a motor-cycle. The incident occurred in broad daylight just outside the Dimapur District Hospital on August 21.
According to the police, the victim identified only as Anjan fought back after an unidentified man tried to snatch his motor-cycle. He was leaving the hospital premises after visiting a friend admitted at the hospital. The robber reportedly stopped him and forcibly asked him to hand over the motor-cycle. He resisted and in the ensuing scuffle, the robber drew a pistol and shot the victim on the elbow, the police said. The robber then absconded from the scene leaving the bike and the victim.
