•-In reference to a clarification of Deplorable Phek-Chozuba Road which appeared in local dailies on April 12, I, the undersigned, with no ill-intention to counter anyone, would like to share my view on the matter.
The two officials of Equipoise Supportive Coterie have exercised their freedom to express their views and opinions. But, according to my view, should Vikholie Nienu, proprietor of K.K. Chire & Sons and also contractor of the Phek-Chozuba road, make it known to the public whenever he visits the project? Is it a must that a contractor should publicly announce his visit to the work site?
I have personally seen him visiting the project and personally supervising the work and to best of my knowledge, it is not only an instance that he had visited the project. There will more like me who must have witnessed Vikholie Nienu visiting the site and many must have even gone unnoticed as nobody has been assigned to monitor Vikholie Nienu visiting the site.
The road is for the benefit and welfare for whole of Phek district and as a concerned citizen of Phek would like to appeal to all concerned, instead of accusing each other, to encourage for early completion of the road.

Open letter to GM BSNL Nagaland
•-With due respect, I would like to state that 3G connection in Nagaland have started in dreams, hoardings, advertisements and so on but not in reality. I got the 3G connection last month but connection is very very poor in fact we hardly get any connection. If residents of Dimapur cannot get connected then other part of the state is beyond impossible. without getting any connection i will not pay my hard earned Rs 1100 a month as a rental charge until and unless BNSL take it on priority and do the needful. We the consumers will take our own course of action and BSNL have to close down its business in Nagaland. Our patience is running out. BSNL do it or close down. I request GM BSNL Nagaland to take necessary action as soon as possible. Most of the BSNL staff are not helpful to our complains not only in 3G connection but also in other problem as they have attitude of getting salary whether they do their duties or not.

Dzükou for SAPO
•-Dzükou valley must be understood for its worth, to understand the vehemence of SAPO, on its stand to protect and preserve Dzükou valley. Dzükou valley is not merely a wilderness of virgin forests or a beautiful valley of flowers, it is the life giving agent for all its surrounding regions by being the refrigerant factor of rain precipitation. SAPO is well conscious of this factor and the consequences of the destruction of its ecology.
The depredation of the pristine forests by logging will gravely imperil the very existence of the people of SAPO area villages. It is the Dzükou valley that serves as the water reservoir from which all the feeder water-springs ooze out to form into rivers that sustain life 360 degrees around it, both in Nagaland and Manipur. The general environmental impact in terms of bio-genepool reserve, which it plays to all the valleys, shall be severely damaged. In this, the stakeholders are not just the villagers who live on the upper slopes but the entire population in the plains upto the Bay of Bengal. The stake in jeopardy, if not perceived in that perspective and if by superficial assessment judgments are passed, SAPO may well be branded as rash and over sensitive. The claim of traditional land ownership over Dzükou by SAPO, is an issue of no consequence to many, however it is of vital consequences to all dependants on the rivers that emanate from the ridges of Dzükou plateau. It is therefore, incumbent upon all competent authorities or agencies to scientifically delve into the anatomy of the situation and confirm the veracity of the contention of SAPO.
