Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): National Research Centre on Mithun observed Vigilance Awareness Week from October 31 to November 5 with the theme ‘Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption.’
The programme began at NRC on Mithun office on October 31, where Director, ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr. Abhijit Mitra addressed the staff members and highlighted the importance of Vigilance Awareness Week and also administered pledge to the staff. He also highlighted the measures taken up by the ICAR as well as the institute to prevent corruption.
Various competitions were organized during the week long programme like essay writing, drawing, extempore and slogan writing for the staff and students.
Valedictory programme was organized on November 5 in the conference hall of the institute with participation of all the staff and students. Maj. Rahul Rana from 32 Assam Rifles, Dimapur was invited as chief guest on this occasion, which started with address of Dr. Abhijit Mitra, Director, NRC on Mithun who emphasized the need to create awareness about anti corruption and also develop internal checks and balances to reduce corruption in the office.
Winners of various events were awarded with trophies and certificates.
