Winners of the Open Penalty Shoot-Out at Phek Town.
PHEK, JUNE 13 (MExN): Vigorous FC defeated Khuza Students Union (KSU) to win the 3rd edition of the Open Penalty Shoot-Out at Phek Town, Local Ground. The event was organised by the Phek Town Chakhesang Students Union (PTCSU). A total of 27 Teams/Clubs participated from different areas within Phek Town.
The other semi finalist winners were Phek Government College (PGC) and Fire Fighters. Individuals prizes were given to Best Shooter: Chelo Tara; and Best Goalkeeper: Nukhosa Vero.
A sum of Rs 30,000 for the winner was sponsored by VS Tharmi, District Economic & Statistics Officer, Phek. For the runners up, a sum of Rs 20,000 was sponsored by C Limawati Imchen, Commandant 5th Bn, NAP, Phek and for the semi finalists, a sum of Rs 5,000 each was sponsored by Neihite Akami, Former President, PTYS & Senior Graduate Teacher, Phek. Individuals prizes included Best Shooter and Best Goalkeeper.
The union thanked all the sponsors and patrons for their contribution and people behind this event a success. Dr Vezhoto Soho, Associate Pastor, PTBC invoked God's blessing before the shoot-out began.
The penalty shoot-out was conducted with the assistance of the Phek Refree board officials.
