WOKHA, April 8 (MExN): The monthly Village Health & Nutrition Day (VHND) was conducted at Longsachung village in Wokha district on April 7.
The district monitoring team headed by Dr. Enrithung (CMO), Matsung (DPM), Suzi (DCM), Viroko (BPM) and Mhonlumi (BAC) visited and interacted with mothers in the village, informed a press release. Initiating inter-departmental convergence, the District Social Welfare Department led by Soren Kikon (CDPO) also attended the programme and distributed nutritional food items to the pregnant and lactating mothers, the release added.
Children were also given immunization, while Matsung (DPM) gave a short health talk on the importance of immunization.
