Villagers sensitized on health care in Peletkie

Peren, November 27 (MExN): Peren Government College organized a one day sensitization programme on health care at Peletkie village on November 25 under the aegis of the college’s Research, Consultancy & Extension Cell (IQAC).  

The resource person, Albert, Vice-Principal enlightened the villagers on facts, causes and preventive measures of various common diseases, including water borne/vector borne and air borne diseases, diabetes and cancers among others and impressed upon them on their correlation to healthy lifestyle, healthy food habit, sanitation, hygienic living, ideal environment and safe drinking water among others.  

He also urged the villagers to avail the services of trained doctors rather than local quacks for timely diagnosis and treatment and emphasized on the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of ailments.   

The resource person further asked the villagers to take measures to make the village the cleanest of villages in the district which shall also be disease free and a healthy village.  

The programme ended with a fruitful discussion hour, according to a press release.  

It may be recalled that Peren Government College has adopted Peletkie village for the year 2016-2017 and has already carried out various public welfare programmes there on earlier occasions.  

The programme was moderated by Sazutlak Domta, Assistant Professor, while Tsiraile, Women Pastor of Peletkie Baptist Church invoked God’s blessing for the programme.
