Mokokchung, June 20 (MExN): The Mokokchung to Mariani Roadside Villagers Concern Forum which comprises of 14 villages along the NH702 (D) has made a resolution that the contractor should execute the work along the highway utilizing quality materials as per the standards of the authority concerned. The resolution was made at a joint meeting representing government, contractor, and the landowners on June 13, informed a press release from the Forum.
The meeting also decided that competent and qualified technical officers from the department concerned should supervise the execution of work.
The 14 land owner villages have also decided that it will not impose royalty on the government/ contractors, the release informed.
“The above decisions are made with an objective for quality construction of the road for benefit of all citizens especially exemption of royalty imposition by the landowners has been condoned under said object and therefore, any other organized groups especially from national workers are also not supposed to impose any taxes from the government/ contractors like that of our landowners,” the forum stated.
