Vincent 'A' lifts Master Shield T20 trophy

The 3rd Master Shield Trophy 2019 organized by the Mokokchung District T20 Cricket Federation culminated here today at Imkongmeren Sports Complex where Vincent 'A' was crowned the new champions after defeating Tritons CC in their final match encounter.
Tritons after winning the toss elected to bat first but could manage to set only a paltry total of 104 runs all out in exactly 20 overs. Hem Bahadur, 35 runs, was the lone Tritons batsman who could settle in the crease as the other batsmen at the other end of the wicket kept falling unable to negotiate the Vincent 'A' bowling attack led by Bedisie who scalped 4 wickets.
Vincent 'A' chased down the target in 18.4 overs after losing 5 wickets in the process. Opinder Rai scored 30 runs while Sunil remained 29 not out to ensure victory for Vincent 'A'. Sunil was adjudged Man of the Match for his overall performance.
Meanwhile, best batsman of the tournament award went to Vikash of Trebuchet CC who amassed 181 runs in 3 matches and the best bowler award went to Chubameren of Tritons CC for his haul of 12 wickets in 5 matches. Nripen of Vincent 'A' was adjudged the best wicket keeper of the tournament while Hem Bahadur of Tritons CC was awarded the Man of the Series title who scored 171 runs and claimed 6 wickets in 5 matches. Vikash of Trebuchet CC was also awarded the Most Sixes award for his 13 maximums.
