Vir Das on cloud 9 after US comedy Management Company signs him up

Comedian-actor Vir Das has been signed up by America's one of the largest comedy management companies, Levity Entertainment Group (LEG). LEG is a vertically integrated entertainment company with four divisions: live, production, talent management, and digital. It has worked with world-renowned comedians such as Jamie Foxx, Jeff Dunham, Trevor Noah, Daniel Tosh, Tracy Morgan, Amy Schumer and Gabriel Iglesias.   "It’s honestly great to have the best management firm and agency in the country handling my career. There’s a global spot for an original Indian voice out there in comedy, television and film. Levity CAA (Creative Artists Agency) and I agree that we need to take that spot together in 2016,” Vir said in a statement.

  Last year, the 36-year-old performed in the US at venues like the Carolines on Broadway and Hollywood Improv, where he was discovered by Levity. “We work with a variety of artistes from around the world. Working with someone that has the experience, achievements, and talent that Vir encapsulates is an exciting new endeavor," said Levity Entertainment Group comedy manager and producer Reg Tigerman.   "From the moment we saw a clip of Vir on YouTube and in a packed house at the Hollywood Improv, it was immediately apparent how unique Vir is. We could see the undeniable potential to elevate him on a global level,” he said.
