
Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): Home Ministry, Government of India on April 24 last extended regular and e-visas of all foreigners who are stranded in India due to the coronavirus lockdown till May 3 on gratis basis. In compliance with the MHA memorandum, the Government of Nagaland has extended validity of regular and e-visas or stay stipulation of foreign nationals stranded in Dimapur due to Covid-19 till May 3. All foreigners whose regular visa, e-visa or stay stipulation have expired or would expire between February 1 and May 3 would be extended till May 3 midnight on gratis once an online application is submitted, the Dimapur Commissioner of Police said in a statement on Tuesday.
Online applications can be submitted via https://indiafrro.gov.in/frro (Dimapur FRO helpline number 7085065056/ email fro-nadpr@nic.in). Further, Exit Permit for stay upto May 15 can be applied for free of cost. However, penalty will be applicable for overstay beyond this period, it said.
