Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): President of BJP Nagaland, Visasolie Lhoungu took over as the new chairman of the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA) in a formal function held at the agency on March 26.
Peter Lichamo, team leader of the NBDA welcomed him to the office on behalf of the agency. He also highlighted the various activities and programs being undertaken by NBDA. The government, Lichamo stated, has a new structure policy for bamboo mission and was hopeful that with the new chairman, many new ventures may be opened and taken up to take the agency further.
Visasolie Lhoungu meanwhile stated he was happy to be working with experienced team leader, officers and staff of the NDBA. “We should have confidence with each other to work together as a team,” a press release from K Thong, State Secretary, BJP Nagaland quoted him as saying. The chairman assured to give full cooperation to officers and staff and expected the same from them.
The officers and staff showed him various units and activities of the agency.
The new NDBA chairman was accompanied by a number of state BJP and frontal office bearers.
The BJP Nagaland in the press release wished all the best to NDBA and its new chairman in its venture to further promote the objectives. “The centre and the state governments will fully understand the needs of the agency,” it added.
