Mokokchung, December 5 (MExN): Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Sharingain Longkumer released ‘Vision Mokokchung 2040’ at ADC Planning Hall Mokokchung on December 4.
According to a DIPR report, the document was prepared and published by Mokokchung District Art & Culture Council (MDACC) and Mayangnokcha Award Trust (MAT), collaboration between the Mokokchung town Quasquicentennial Planning & Organizing Committee and the citizens of Mokokchung.
Speaking in the function, the Speaker said that it is a pride that Mokokchung has produced some of the finest personalities and forerunner and pioneered in many fields. In order to continue the trend he called upon all to have a dream/vision which is rightly documented in the book ‘Vision Mokokchung 2040.’
“We have to move forward where time led us. We cannot remain stagnant in one place only in this digitalized generation. This is our soil and country let us all uplift our land by institualising our activities,” he added.
Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung Limawabang Jamir in his short speech called upon all the citizens for their involvement because without the active participation of the citizens the vision will be a failure he said.
The programme was chaired by Sentilong Ozukum EAC Hq. A brief introduction of ‘Vision Mokokchung 2040’ was given by I Temsu Jamir vice president MDACC.
