•-Naga people are fortunate that the highest personality of our Country is paying her maiden visit to this remote Nagaland and on this auspices occasion, the Naga people are in excited and delighted mode to receive the first ever lady President of this great Country with open arms and splendor hospitalities. I do not know the exact nature of her visit to Nagaland but I do believe that she is coming to Nagaland to meet the Naga people and its organizations, talk and be heard too. Even the former President APJ Kalam had given sufficient time to the Naga public and also had a cordial classroom type of audience with the school children. But why this stingy 20 minute time is earmarked for public interview this time? Is our beloved President in haste? Whether President is coming to meet the Naga Public or her visit is for some other purposes? Who is responsible for scheduling this quickie program? Is the President’s Secretariat in New Delhi or Nagaland Government responsible? Whoever has arranged such short-cut program, in the eye of the Nagas, it is a bad taste.
Truly, the Naga people holds her very dear as she is the people’s President but abridging the program of public interview to a mere 20 minute by the Concerned authority is disheartening and indeed it’s a great disappointment for the Naga people. What is the impression of the Naga NGOs and Civil Societies?
