Visitors urged to avoid Nsonji Lake Park till further notice

Sendenyu, July 3 (MExN): The Sendenyu Community Ecotourism Board has urged visitors to refrain from visiting Nsonji Lake Park with immediate effect, until further notice. This has been necessitated in order to enable the management to establish necessary safety measures for the public, the Board stated in a notification.

The notification came in the backdrop of an incident at Nsonji Lake on June 30, where an Indian Army soldier reportedly lost his life after rescuing a drowning friend. His mortal remains were retrieved on July 1.

Meanwhile, the Sendenyu Community Ecotourism Board conveyed its condolences and sympathy to the family of late Shwensinlo Semp of Terogvunyu Village who died in the unfortunate incident. 

The Board also expressed gratitude to the District Administration and State Disaster Relief Force for their support and relentless service in recovering the body.
