Kohima, Sept 14 (MExN): The Parent Teacher Association Meet of the GPS (K) Viswema was held on September 12 last at the school premises. Theyievilie, Assistant District Co-ordinator DMA, SSA Kohima attended the meet as the main speaker.
In his speech, he urged upon the parents to cater equal treatment to the children of government school with that of private school students by providing necessary articles.
Highlighting the importance of communitisation, he said “SSA and communitisation is like two sides of a coin.” With the help of source from government (SSA), parents should also create an environment at home to boost the efforts of the teachers for the proper development of a child, he said.
He was accompanied by Project Assistant and Accountant DMA, SSA Kohima. Besides this, co-ordinator, EBRC Viswema and his colleagues, VEC members, chairman, school managing board and representatives from Khel Panchayat, youth, women, students and host of parents and well wishers were present at the meet.
Earlier, Vizeho Kikhi, Deacon VBC pronounced the invocation. Khruvi, assistant teacher delivered welcome address while Swedezhol Vitsu, head teacher spoke on the behalf of the school, highlighting the past achievement and present situation of the school, who was backup by chairmen of School Managing Board and Council.
Speaking on behalf of parents, Thenuvahe appreciated the charity of the teachers in providing school uniforms from their own salary.
The students presented songs and dance and it evoked deserving response.
The meet concluded with vote of thanks tendered by Hosuvi, assistant teacher.
