Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The VK Area Students' Union, VK Area People's Organization and VK Area GBs Association jointly organized a rally at VK town on September 26 declaring VK area as Tobacco Free Zone in a function which was held at the VK Town square.
A press release stated that VK Area comprises of nine villages. The rally was attended by the students of VK town and public. Upon invitation from the three frontal organizations the Team Metamorphosis Wokha also joined the rally. Toino Wokhami, president of the VK Area Students’ Union explained to the gathering the harms and effects of tobacco usage.
At the rally, the three organizations also issued a decree to the shops not to sell any tobacco products henceforth, besides having the determination to make one of the cleanest areas in Nagaland.
