DIMAPUR, JANUARY 26 (MExN): A blood donation camp was organised by the Voluntary Blood Donors’ Club, Dimapur at the district hospital on Wednesday, January 26. This club was the outcome of some like-minded people coming together with the noble intent to save lives. It came into being, without much fanfare, on October 1, 2010. The date also coincided with the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day.
Today, on the occasion of Republic Day, the club organised its maiden blood donation camp at the district hospital. Around 50 members of the club voluntarily came forward and donated blood at the district hospital’s blood bank. Medical Superintendent of the district hospital, Dimapur was also in attendance.
Dr. Temsu, pathologist and in-charge of the blood bank invited the public to come and help save precious lives by joining the club.
