‘Each voter is a chief agent ‘ Asu Keyho, NPP

Running the elections for the 6th time, ex MLA Asu Keyho urged the electorates not to be bought by money during elections but to focus on choosing leaders with integrity who can deliver their words into action after getting elected. “I do not have a chief agent because each voter is a chief agent,” said Keyho denoting the value of a single vote. With several areas in the capital coming under the Constituency, Keyho said, “This is a great opportunity for our Constituency. Our capital will also benefit from our constituency.”

Keyho expressed that if elected, he will address the areas on agricultural developments, urban development and quality roads and connectivity. “I wish to transform your hope into greater value.” concluded Keyho.

‘Need to care where it is wounded’ Keneizhakho Nakhro, NPF

Expressing concern on poverty and lack of employment opportunities and infrastructural development in the Constituency, first-time candidate Keneizhakho Nakhro said “We need to care where it is wounded.” Talking of his party NPF, Nakhro mentioned that his party is not dictated by any external force or party but it is a party organic to the Nagas and will remain so. Nakhro further assured that, once elected, he will work towards ‘transfer posting protection’, employment to those who deserve and bring progress in the administrative block. “I wish to serve with the advice and suggestions of the public,” stated Nakhro.

‘I will serve, not dictate’ Er Kevisekho Kruse, NDPP

Er Kevisekho Kruse from Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) began with sharing his experiences in government service, which motivated him to enter politics because ‘serving in the service was not just enough but there is a dire need to change the policies’. “My greatest priority is stability and development,” said Kruse who praised the leadership of Rio adding, “I believe in the stable governance/leadership of Rio. He has been one of our tallest leaders.”

With a vision to enrich and develop the economy of the Constituency, uplift the poor, work on accountability and to specifically set up Sports Academy in the Western Constituency, Kruse also addressed the issue of VIP culture noting that he will work on reducing this culture once elected. “When there is no vision in a leader, the people are at crisis and the youth deteriorate. Old politicians are too comfortable with what they are doing. There is absence of transparency and accountability,” said Kruse adding, “I want to be accessible to the public. During my service in the government, my gates were open till 11:00 pm and it will continue to open to you.”

“It will be an era of development. I will not dictate but I will serve. Bring your problems and we will solve it together,” concluded Kruse.
