Kohima, May 18 (MExN): The Western Angami Public Organisation (WAPO) Educational Trust has honoured the toppers from Western Angami area in the HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2025 conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE).

The achievers included HSSLC (Arts)- Vikhono Senotsu, Rank 1 (96.20%), GHSS, Jotsoma; Asieno Kielienyü, Rank 8 (93.80%), GHSS Sechü Zubza: HSSLC (Commerce)- Kezhazetuo Nagi, Rank 10 (90.40%). GHSS, Jotsoma: HSLC - Viketho Chücha, Rank 5 (97.50%), Fernwood School, Kohima; Rovitsino Punyü, Rank 8 (97.00%), Public School, Dzüvürü Kohima.

In a felicitation programme organised by WAPO on May 17 at Terhotsiese, Khonoma, Nibu Nagi congratulated the toppers and all successful candidates. He emphasised the importance of setting goals, promoting one’s mother tongue, and choosing career paths that bring integrity and satisfaction. He encouraged the students to be diligent and reminded them that it is never too late to begin something meaningful and profitable.

WAPO President, Kepelhutuo Chüsi remarked that health and intellect are blessings from God and that no one can take away our wisdom. He urged students to nurture their knowledge, prepare themselves well, and focus on contributing to the growth of human resources. He encouraged them to maintain their zeal and continue their hard work.

Earlier, Western Angami Students Union (WASU) president Ketouneikho Yavio shared greetings. Neivikuolie Khatsu, Secretary of WAPO Educational Trust, presented the introduction and reports. Welcome address was delivered by Savile Kruneilie, Convener, WAPO Educational Trust.
