
Kohima, January 12: VNI Productions Company is organizing a two-day art carnival on January 17 and 18, 2014 in Kohima. The event will be held at Regional Centre of Excellence for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma.
A concert featuring ‘Viking Rice’, a band founded by Kari Kliev, an international artist based in London, with Naga artist, Vire Nukhu (Director, VNI Productions Company) will be held during the event. The band will perform with Nagaland’s renowned local musicians, including several individual winning musicians of the recent years’ Hornbill Rock festival contest. A fashion show exhibiting the works of prominent and emerging Naga fashion designers will also be part of the event.
Further, the event will feature an art exhibition, exhibiting the works of renowned Naga artists along with a Photography Competition. The winner of the photography competition will be awarded a sponsorship to showcase his/her art work in London. The categories for the photography competition will be based on Woman, Brother, Nature, Music and Humor.
