The Wakching Area Students' Union (WASU) 8th sports meet cum 37th general session kicked off at Chingdang Village on February 6 under the theme "Sporting Culture & Identity."
MON, FEBRUARY 6 (MExN): The Wakching Area Students' Union (WASU) 8th sports meet cum 37th general session kicked off at Chingdang Village on February 6 under the theme "Sporting Culture & Identity."
The opening function was graced by Advisor for DUDA, Geology & Mining W Chingang Konyak as special guest and Methlow Konyak- Contractor, Naginimora as guest of honour.
In his address, W Chingang Konyak extended his gratitude to WASU for organizing such events for the welfare of Wakching area youths. He encouraged the players to perform the best in their game and strive to be in the top position.
Earlier in a short speech, Methlow shared his experience on how to be successful in life. He urged the youth to be self-employed for livelihood and inculcate the habit of hard work if they want to reach the top position in life. He also encouraged the youth to remain humble, be respectful in every aspect of their life.
Further, short speeches were delivered by Temwang Angh- president WASU, Chingdang Village Council chairman while the opening prayer was pronounced by Pastor of Chingdang village.
