Dimapur, September 16 (MExN): The Wakching Area Students’ Union (WASU) has condemned the alleged murder of K Wango Konyak from Chingphoi village who was found dead at Lengri Tea Garden of Khatkhati, Karbi Anglong District of Assam.
“Such kind of cowardly acts and spineless mentality is a threat to society,” Media Cell of WASU stated in a press release. “The putrefied body was found on September 9. Such inhumane and diabolical act negates the very aspiration of the general populace for peaceful living,” it stated.
Further, the union has urged the law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned in awarding befitting capital punishment as per the law of the land and ensure that the concern authority to immediately arrest culprit at the earliest time. The union also appealed to take swift measure to identify and sanction the culprit.
WASU also conveyed condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family.
