Kohima, July 9 (MExN): The Western Angami Students Union (WASU) conducted a felicitation cum skill orientation programme on July 8 at the Sazolie College, Jotsoma to honor and motivate the successful candidates.
The event commenced with a Bible reading and invocation by Mekhrievi-ü Kehie, President, Western Angami Women Organization.
Mhiesisekho, President WASU congratulated the successful candidates and also expressed happiness for the outstanding achievements of the students from Western Angami area. He shared the aims and vision of WASU for the tenure 2023-2025 to focus on skill development and quality education for the benefits of the students in particular and the community in general.
Vimeyiekho Vitso, General Secretary, Angami Students’ Union urged the students to maintain honesty in their endeavors.
Medoneinuo Suohumvü performed a special number.
Beizo Suokhrie, President, Western Angami Gazetted Officers Krotho exhorted the students. He told the students to choose the right stream and step out of their comfort zone.
A special prayer for the successful candidates was pronounced by Seyielebei Savio Senotsu, Catechist, St Andrews Church Jotsoma. Aneidi Sano spoke on behalf of the successful candidates.
Kepelhoutuo Chüsi, President, Western Angami Public Organization urged the successful students to become valuable assets to society. He further encouraged the students to plan their academic lifestyle wisely.

Later, during the skill development orientation programme, Kedosakho Chücha, General Secretary, Western Angami Gazetted Officers Krotho shared the importance of skill development and how it can help an individual to be self reliant and employable.
Kasalhoukho Casavi, Instructor, ITI Kohima meanwhile shared skill development ideas and schemes. Beizo Suokhrie explained the various skill development opportunities and institutions in different parts of the state.
