WASU’s 8th sports meet held

Wakching, February 15 (MExN): Under the theme, “Sporting Culture & Identity,” the Wakching Area Students’ Union (WASU) 8th Sports Meet-cum-37th General Session concluded successfully in Chingdang Village, Mon on February 14. The closing ceremony was graced by Wekok Konyak, a contractor from Naginimora, who advised the youth within WASU’s jurisdiction to focus on sports activities as a profession. Short speeches were also delivered by WASU President Temwang Angh and Chingdang Village Council Chairman. This year, the union introduced athletic and indigenous games during the Sports Meet, as per a press release from WASU. On the sidelines of the games, the federal Assembly was also conducted during the course of the general session, it added.
