MOKOKCHUNG, JUNE 12 (MExN): The Watsu Mungdang, Ungma unit has mournedthe demise of late Mapuienla Longkumer, a student of St Joseph University, Chümoukedima from Ungma village, Mokokchung on May 26 in a suspected hit-and-run case hit and run case.
“The cruel act of a reckless driver has led to the loss of a precious life for whom we can now only pray and seek for justice,” a press release from the unit stated. It extended solidarity to all the student organizations, community and associations who are fighting for justice. It further urged the law enforcing agencies who are involved in the investigation to take the investigation seriously and book the culprit at the earliest.
“The culprit should be booked and punished as per the law so that such incidents will be averted in the days to come,” it said.
