Dimapur, March 24 (MExN): Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) has expressed shock and displeasure over the “uncalled for action” of the 32nd Assam Rifles who raided the residence of Savi Liegise on March 15 “at the behest of misguided elements.” WCH in a press statement attested that Savi is a well known social worker with good track record and is highly respected by the public for his service towards promoting social harmony and co-existence. “He has extended selfless voluntary service towards the eradication of anti social elements,” the Hoho stated. “It is unimaginable to comprehend that Assam Rifles have gone to such extent of exercising its authority/power under the pretext of safeguarding the integrity of the nation. Irreparable damage has been done and the good image of an upright leader has been tarnished and the family members have been traumatized.” It further called upon the competent authority to see that no such incidents repeat in future.
