Kohima, June 12 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Students' Union (WCSU) has conducted a Career Guidance Programme at WCBCC Mission Centre, 7th Mile, Chümoukedima on June 11 under the theme “Discovering the diverse opportunities”

This programme aim to broaden and pave the way for students with career options.

The resource persons included; Jenpu Rhakho Rongmei (Founder & Functionary, Can Youth & Buna Enterprise, Kevethito Rose, NCS (EAC, Peren HQ.), Rev. Dr. Chekrovei Cho-o (Prof. of Applied Theology, OTS, Bade, Dimapur), Dr. Michael Tetseo, MBBS (MO, CHC Jalukie) and Zhokhoi Chüzho (Bollywood actor).

The resource persons talked on entrepreneurship, skill development, civil services, theology, medical profession and entertainment industry.

They also shared their struggles and challenges face by them to become who they are today and challenged the students to be more determined, hard work, enthusiastic with the right competitive attitude and skills and to look at the diverse opportunities which has already been lying.

The programme was followed by discussion and question hour where the attendees put forth their queries, doubts and clarified by the respective resource persons.

During the programme, WCSU also felicitated the toppers with certificate and cash within its jurisdiction in the recently declared results of HSLC and HSSLC by the NBSE.

The recipients included;  Neitele Therie, daughter of Mhasizo Therie for securing 20th rank in the HSLC examination and Eriteu Khape, daughter of  Lt Welhipe Khape for securing 6th rank with subject topper in music in HSSLC examination.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by WCSU president Nuvoto Lohe. The programme was chaired by WCSU vice president Menulo Letro.
