We are not against anyone, CRPO to NVC

Noklak, October 24 (MExN): While appreciating the state government for upgrading Noklak sub-division to the District Status, the Chingmei Range Public Organisation (CRPO) today reiterated that “we are not against anyone with respect to development or upliftment.”

Regretting that the caution served by Noklak Village Council (NVC) to CRPO was “unwelcoming,” a press release from CRPO asked the village council to help them of “amnesia”  to openly state facts and figures as to how the Chingmei Range was enjoying “privileges and opportunities” since the inception of Noklak sub-division.

“Any right thinking citizen will find it foolish on the part of CRPO to opt for exclusion from the Noklak District if the privileges and opportunities were true,” the release stated.

While agreeing with the NVC’s statement that “every person has one’s own origin and every part of land has an owner,” CRPO maintained that “even so Chingmei Range has its own origin, with its own history.”

It claimed that the only reason why CRPO went to media was “to let everyone know that the Noklak Village Council wrote a letter to the Government on October 25, 2017, Vide no :VCC/Adm/2017-2018 where it clearly states the claim that Chingmei and adjoining villages belongs to them.”

Since CRPO has its own historical facts, such claims will not only hamper development but will create unrest, it reiterated.

Hence, it held that their allegations were not baseless. “Perhaps the NVC themselves have forgotten the letter which they wrote and must admit that it is a symptom of amnesia,” CRPO added.

In a democratic country like ours, it held that there was “nothing wrong in expressing  the facts and rights of each individual or organization,” it added.
