‘We want to see God bless our land again’

40 Days of Revival enters fourth day

Dimapur, June 4 (MExN): The ongoing ‘40 Days of Revival’ being held at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur entered the fourth day on Saturday.

Pastor Zepitoli Roughton of Spirit of Faith Church in her message on Saturday evening defined revival as “Spiritual awakening" insisting that "we do not want to be dead in the spirit".

She urged the masses to believe in the flame of Revival that will not burn out but rather be stoked and passed on to the generations that will later inhibit our land. We want "to see Him bless our land again," she added.

"If you want the Shikaina (glory of God), we have to hunger and thirst for Him," she challenged the congregation.

Earlier on Friday, Meren Jamir in his message said, “We have asked God to move again in Nagaland.”

Talking about the revival, he said, what may seem foolishness to the outsiders and skeptics is merely obeying God’s directions to organise an event of such magnitude.

Citing Paul’s message from I Corinthians 1:18, “For the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to ask who are being saved it is the power of God,” he related this to the contemporary issues of the day where movements inspired by the Spirit are deemed foolishness by the masses.

The Revival, which commenced on June 1, has been bringing a large number of believers, young and old, together in hopes of seeing change and revival in the land, a press release from the organisers stated.

The event organisers have also been bringing out a news bulletin called ‘Fire Mail’ every alternate day with reports of “healing and testimonies taking place at the venue” and features on the past and present Christian scenario, the release further stated.

The Revival will continue till July 10 every evening from 4:30 pm at Lifespring Corner. The event will host speakers and worship teams from different churches and ministries.
