Week long campaign on National Girl Child Day ends at Phek

Kohima, January 26 (MExN): A week long special campaign in the name of National Girl Child Day concluded today at Phek town. Marking the end of the programme, DLCW-MSK Phek participated at the 71st Republic Day by opening a stall where paintings and photo gallery of activities conducted during a week long campaign were displayed.

Signature campaign on the theme "Save the Girl Child" was also conducted on the same day. “Photo Report” of Girls Music Band Competition was officially released by Phek Deputy Commissioner Sachin  Jaiswal during the Program.

Felicitation for Local Champions at District Level and the winners of open Painting competition conducted during a week long campaign were awarded with a certificate and cash prize during the programme by housing & mechanical minister Tonpang Ozukum.

Best School Management Committee  was awarded to Bishop Abraham Memorial School Phek, Best Girl Friendly Panchayat was awarded to the Women Society of Thenyizu Village under Chuzuba Sub-divisions, Phek.

Phek Area Mother Association and Phek Women Welfare Society were awarded as an outstanding contributor towards women empowerment. Achiever in sports was awarded to Vekrelu Vero while achiever in academic and achiever in music categories were awarded to Puchohulu Chuzho and Musirhu Lohe respectively.
