Dimapur, November 19 (MExN): Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Jacob Zhimomi inaugurated a weekly bazaar at Khaghaboto Town on November 17.
Jacob on the occasion stated establishing a weekly market was a step towards the growth of the town and the area at large. It is important to have a platform such as weekly bazaar where the local populace can sell their local produce and thereby add to the economic growth and stability of the town and locality, he added.
Stressing on the need for the growth of the township, the MLA urged the people to desire to have developmentally progressive society and to promote the market and let it flourish into a bigger market.
Others who spoke at the event were Vikato Sumi, president, Khaghaboto Tokukujo Kukami Kuqhakulu, Vikiye Achumi, Saul Zhimomi, GB and Qhehoyi Yepthomi GB. They appreciated Jacob for having concern for the people and added the people should uphold his leadership, stated a press release received here.
The inauguration function was chaired by Daniel Jakha, general secretary, Khaghaboto Town Planning Board.
