Welcome demolition drive under Chumukedima

The recent demolition drive carried out along the NH 29 starting from 7th Mile to Chumukedima initiated by the Chumukedima Town Council (CTC) Chumukedima Village Council (CVC ) and GBs is indeed a job well done .I personally place on high record of the initiatives made by the  joint team, particularly under the leadership of the  CTC Chief Advisor Thepfulhoutuo Shuya.
When governments and laws enforcing agencies ,despite successive notifications issued , had miserably failed to implement their own standing orders /rules pertaining to implementation of Four Lanning Rules and against encroachments on Highways, the demolition drive for widening of Highways done in an upcoming and fast growing township in the like of Chumukedima should be grasp as a trend setter and a message to the government that any activities formulated for the welfare and convenience of the public and for the posterity should  be implemented both in letter and spirit, rather than just fooling the people with goods promised never to be delivered to the people and to the land. The recent CTC initiatives must make an awakening call to the slumbering government to wake upon its heaps of rules resolved and notified to the public but implemented never ever. When we see our environment and reserved forest being raped and devoured, our public lands and properties being  cowed down and private buildings, boundary walls and footpaths inching closer right into the middle of public roads, we need to voice our resentment and physically react against all nuisance creating factors. Means for transport and communications are key necessities for any society to develop and prosper, and hence should be in appropriate order and size for the benefit of all.
It is time our actions become responsible in the like of the CTC resoluteness to deliver goods for the general welfare of all. All the CTC endeavor on with its novel work, I wish Shuya and his team the very best and also solicit government’s full support and similar initiatives for the betterment of our land.
