Western Angami to stay ‘Neutral’

Dimapur, June 19 (MExN): Western Angami Public Organization today said it will remain ‘neutral’ stating that the beginning of Naga “national politics” is “simple but crystal clear without any division.” “Unfortunately, different factions have cropped up unexpectedly. The sincere wish of Western Angami Public Organization was an ease to restore unity of Nagas as in the beginning of Naga political movement by bringing about reconciliation in its true sense,” stated a note issued by the WAPO’s president and secretary. 

The Western Angami Public Organization held a consultative meeting on June 19 in and attended by elders, village council chairmen and leaders from all the villages of western Angami regions.  “After a thorough deliberation, the house came to a conclusion that the beginning of Naga National Politics is simple but crystal clear without any division. Unfortunately, different factions have cropped up unexpectedly. The sincere wish of Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO) was an ease to restore unity of Nagas as in the beginning of Naga political movement by bringing about reconciliation in its true sense,” the WAPO stated. “As a matter of facts, the Western Angami Public Organization fully support and reaffirmed the resolution of Angami Public Organization to maintain neutrality and to do its best for Naga unity.”
