KOHIMA, January 27: Strange but the citizens of the Phek Town came to know that some kind of underground stone type debris were gradually erupting from the middle of road near DC Office, Phek Town. Sources said the areas where stone debris erupting was gradually protruding and the debris were wet.
The strange citizens of the town were rushing to see whether they were that of lava of volcano nature. The news of this strange happening is now spreading like a wildfire.
Confirming this to NEPS this evening, Nagaland Assembly Speaker Chotisuh Sazo who was chief guest for the Republic Day Function at Phek District HQs today said he came to know it after he reached Kohima. “It started at about 4 pm at the middle of the road near Phek DC Office,” he said allaying fear that “It may be due to some underground movement caused by reaction of internal mass. It should not be of a serious nature.”
It also disclosed that it was initially difficult to notice changes in the areas where debris coming out but later people came to notice in large areas the road surface was protruding.
