Who is to blame for excess teachers in the state!

Renbemo L Patton

It is just a revelation of one’s own mistake when the state government said, that there was an excess of around 11,000 government teachers in the state.  Had there been no backdoor appointment by the government, there won’t be any issue regarding excess teachers   nor will it burden the state exchequer. Having said that, It is very disheartening to see those qualified teachers of RMSA appointed in 2016, through advertisement NO.NLD/RMSA/APPT-R/2013, vide post creation NO.DSE/RMSA-UPGRADATION/2011, had to face such dissimilar treatment without any pay scale, allowances, increment etc., on the other hand, those teachers who were appointed illegally by the government themselves are enjoying all the service benefits.

Nevertheless, to solve this problem the government should take drastic measures and terminate all the backdoor appointees and pave way for those recruited through advertisement. Instead of making lame excuses over excess teachers to sideline SSA and RMSA genuine issue.
