Why do people hate Hitler?

Why do people hate Hitler so much? And why do people hate the Nazis so much? What made them think so? I was born in August 29 1980; it falls on the death anniversary our great freedom fighter, Haipou Jadonang, who was hanged for his revolt against the British Empire. My father is an influential man of our tribe, and on hearing the news of my birth, the sub divisional officer, who was also the chief guest of the anniversary came and named me Hitler, for reason that I was born on a great day and a great man’s name suits me. The sub-divisional officer who happened to be an Indian thought of Hitler as a friend. For every Indian, Hitler was a friend in those time, because he was considered the ‘Enemy’s Enemy’, i.e. Britain’s enemy. Years later, the negative social conception of Hitler forced me to change my name to Puanthanh meaning 'born again'.
The latest remarks I heard about Hitler was from a young teenager. He said that he hated Hitler because he overheard his father and his friends telling it over a dinner. I asked him gently what he knew about Hitler. “He is the devil who killed millions of people”, he replied angrily. Some can’t think of any negative example better than Hitler so they always use him as an example for someone truly evil.
In those time human beings were not so civilized like we are today. Geneva Convention, Human Rights and the idea of globalization or oneness of humankind came only after the Second World War. Before that everything was fare in love and war. Human beings are racist by nature. The law of belonging supports it. When people are exposed to sociological knowledge and education, they restraint themselves or choose not to be racist, because all men seek good by nature. They remain non-racist as long as their sociological principles guide and direct them.
What Hitler did was his own act of love for his own country. His goal was make Germany the most powerful country in the world. And it’s the dream of every kings, dictators and politicians of those times. And favour was on Hitler. He didn't want Germany to be ruled by England and in order to unite Europe under Germany, he had to beat Britain. That's why he declared war on Britain by breaking the treaty.
Adolf Hitler hated the Jews for some reasons that may be not acceptable to people today. But I do believe he had his reasons. According to a newly published book titled "November 9: How World War One Led to the Holocaust." Adolf Hitler's hatred of Jews stemmed from his belief that they "stole" victory from the country in the First World War. "The core of his hatred lies at the defeat of Germany in WWI, “the book's author Joachim Riecker told the Daily Telegraph, "where Hitler blamed the Jews for defeat of the country, the collapse of the monarchy and the ruination of millions." "Hitler saw the state 'poisoned' from within. Hitler lived in Munich, where Jews played a leading role in the revolution against the monarchy on Nov. 9, 1918. So suddenly the delusion came to his mind, that the Jews where the reason for the 'inner poisoning' of Germany and that they had stolen the victory from Germany," Riecker told the British paper.
I would hardly consider him an icon of evil now. However, when I see pictures of Hitler, I can’t help but to notice how strong he looked and confident and so powerful. I am not telling what he did is right.  But he just did what he thought is right like any other politicians. Let us not think only of the holocaust of the Jews but also the holocaust of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  This tells the very nature of human beings. What matter more is - what have we learned from them? We say we are civilized but have we really changed?
