Kohima, March 15 (MExN): A day after taking charge of the Department of Higher Education, Minister for Higher & Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along, on his maiden visit to office held a meeting with the officers and staff in the conference hall on March 14.
The Minister said he will look into the growth of government colleges across the state while observing that many of these institutions still lack modern amenities. He felt that particularly looking into the IT sector would raise the standards of education. In the meantime, he said he would try and bring the whole student community to work together so that there is no misunderstanding among the various student bodies.
He also emphasized that “team work” will lead to success, and asked the officials to be punctual and be “decent government servants.” Affirming that the new government will bring change as per their slogan and with the cooperation of the leaders in the government and BJP government at the centre, Along assured that there will be positive change in the department of Higher Education.
