Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): The ongoing Tokhu Emong celebration entered day two with Wokha Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Ranjan gracing the event as special guest on November 6.
According to updates from the DIPR, the DC stated that the essence of Tokhu Emong celebration is unity and strengthening relationships among the brothers through forgiveness. He called for renewing relationships and coming together without differences and said that though the Lothas are blessed with vast natural resources yet it could not be tapped to its potential due to disunity. He reminded the Lotha community to come together and envision a brighter future and urged the civil society and the public to have a strong resolution that through the celebration of Tokhu Emong the community will have bountiful blessings as it marks a new beginning or New Year.
The second day was marked with tug-of-war competition between various colonies in Wokha Town and a Tokhu melodic song presented by Mt Tiyi College Wokha, while Tokhu music night continued in the evening session with performances by various local artists.
The main Tokhu Emong event on November 7 will be graced by Imkong L Imchen, MLA, as the special guest, the update stated.
